The Chinese company today unveiled its first smartphone equipped with a fingerprint reader, but this is not the only product that will soon be available for sale. It also includes the latest tablet, the Mi Pad 2, the second generation of the popular device launched since March last year.
The dimensions of the tablet are 200.4 x 132.6 x 6.95 mm and it is 18% thinner than the first generation, and 38 grams lighter and currently weighs only 322 grams. The housing is made entirely of metal, which not only gives it elegance, but also increases the strength of the equipment for damage.
The screen size has not changed and is the same as its predecessor, its diagonal is 7.9-inch and the resolution is 2048 x 1536, with a pixel density of 326 PPI. The heart of the tablet is a 64-bit Intel X5-Z8500 with an integrated Intel HD graphics chip, made with 14 nm technology, and the manufacturer claims that its performance is at a Snapdragon 808 level. The unit is backed by 2GB of LPDDR3 memory and 16 or 64GB of usable memory, depending on the tablet version.
The Mi Pad 2 could not, of course, run out of cameras. The back is a 8-megapixel sensor, while the 5-megapixel front. Unfortunately, the manufacturer's flash did not foresee, but it's finally a tablet that's average for taking pictures. The device also has a large battery capacity of 6190 mAh, as well as Android 5.1 Lollipop.
